I'm Lena, 23 years old. 

Since 2014 I have been actively canoeing a single-person racing canoe (K1) and my long-term goal is to canoe in a K1 at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028 or in Brisbane in 2032.

I grew up in the city of Groningen and in Eelderwolde, a small village just below Groningen in the province of Drenthe.

After high school, I started studying bioinformatics at the University of Leiden in 2019. I am currently working on my Masters and therefore have less time to train often, but if possible I still try to get into my canoe as often as possible.
